Purchasing a used RV can be an exciting and cost-effective way to enter the world of recreational vehicle travel. However, it’s essential to thoroughly inspect the camper to ensure you’re making a sound investment. Here are some essential tips to guide you through the inspection process, helping you identify potential issues and make an informed decision.

Exterior Inspection

Check for Water Damage: Examine the roof, windows, doors, and seams for any signs of water damage or leaks. Look for discoloration, soft spots, or mold, which can indicate water intrusion. Pay special attention to the roof seams and around any roof-mounted equipment like air conditioners and vents.

Inspect the Roof and Seals: Climb up and inspect the roof for cracks, punctures, or worn-out seals. Ensure that all seals and seams are intact and properly maintained to prevent leaks.
